LOVE

Written by N.Y.C.K.
Produced by Jack Grace
Mushroom Music Publishing

Produced by legendary Australian indie producer Jack Grace (Universal, Ngaiire). Love sets is an instant departure for N.Y.C.K. on their sophomore album. Made between the studios of Nick Acquroff & Dominique Garrard in Melbourne & the studio of Jack Grace in Paris, France.

After several years as songwriters for Mushroom Publishing (with tracks published by Universal, Mushroom & others), Nick & Dom took their sound library of thousands of samples and set to work. Love builds on the poetic framework the pair are known for (favourite lines include ‘been dead since 0 AD and you’re still drawing pictures of him in the 1700s.” ; “He drinks lies and beer and still posting pictures of me like we’re star crossed lovers.’)

Jack Grace’s illustrious style shows immediate impact - creating new layers and treatments to the bands more tempered work. Guitar, drums, synthesisers and even horns bely the band’s minimal roots. It’s a mature and virbant pop song, reminiscent of an album that pushed harder and faster than the duo have before.
